A supplemental source of Thiamine (Vitamin B1) to help calm nervous, hot or highly strung horses where bahaviour is related to thiamine deficiency.
A deficiency of thiamine has been shown in several species to lead to nervous behaviour. B-QUIET provides concentrated levels of thiamine to treat the symptoms of thiamine deficiency, including hyper-irritability and nervousness in horses. Thiamine plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism and nerve transmission.Thiamine deficiency can sometimes be caused by grazing on bracken fern.
B-QUIET is also useful for horses on high grain intakes and in heavy training, to aid energy utilisation and promote appetite. In these horses, production of thiamine by intestinal bacteria may be reduced by stress and hind gut acidosis.
